Crafts Study Centre Business Plan 2016
VISION : TO BE A NATIONAL CENTRE FOR CRAFT RESEARCH, EXHIBITIONS AND COLLECTIONS
The Crafts Study Centre (CSC) is a charity registered with the Charity Commissioners (261109), and a fully accredited museum (Arts Council England, 2013). It was formed in April 1970 with the aim of ‘the advancement of the education of the public in the arts and in particular the artistic crafts’.
The CSC has acted since 2000 in a formal partnership with the University for the Creative Arts according to the terms of a Joint Agreement . The Joint Agreement sets out management arrangements and responsibilities on the part of the University and the Trustees of the Crafts Study Centre. It is reviewed at five-yearly intervals, and the present version of the Joint Agreement was signed by the Vice Chancellor, Dr Simon Ofield-Kerr and the then Chair of Trustees Dr Glenn Adamson on 31 October 2011. The Agreement will next be reviewed in October 2016.
