Made from agricultural byproducts, the Harvest Moon table celebrates rituals of harvest and gathering. For this object handling workshop, participants are invited to bring a cup/mug/drinking vessel and/or a scarf that they have gathered or collected that means something to them. We will discuss these everyday objects alongside handling cups and scarves from the Crafts Study Centre’s collection.

This workshop coincides with the Crafts Study Centre’s current project ‘Please Touch! Improving Access and Developing the Crafts Study Centre’s Handling Collection’ funded by Surrey Heritage for All, which explores ways to improve community use and access to the Centre’s collections.
